In accordance with the long-term program of Pattaya authorities on repair, renovation and reconstruction of communications and transport infrastructure of the city, works on the widening of the roadway will begin at Pattaya Beach Road on May 28, 2013. Over 140 million Baht has provided on the program and its completion is scheduled for May of next year. 

The road equipment and roadway are currently being prepared to the work.

It's planned to expand the roadway at the expense of coastal and green areas. In addition, the planned recultivation and restoration of eroded sections of Pattaya Beach.
